WELCOME TO STEMgirls

Empowering 22+ schools and 550+ students in the Milpitas Unified School District in partnership with Bay Area companies, alumni, and volunteers.

Home: Homepage_about

Milpitas High STEMgirls strives to encourage girls to increase their interest and comfort in Science, Math and Technology through the means of guest speakers, conferences, workshops, and STEM tutoring in hopes of decreasing the gender gap in the STEM fields. In addition, we host free STEM programs for students at local elementary schools.

What STEMgirls means to our members...

STEMgirls helped me gather courage by encouraging me and increasing my knowledge about the STEM field. It has helped choose the career and field that I want.

— Fiona Chan, Grade 9

The various meetings for STEMgirls changed my mind from pushing away the idea of STEM at all costs to considering it as a possible career.

— Mrunmayee Jere, Grade 10

STEMgirls means family. I learned so
so much throughout the year and it is an unforgettable experience.

— Angela Lee,

Grade 10
